Emily Klingebiel is a digital and expanded media artist who focuses on how our bodies interface with technology, and how this engagement can be to the benefit and detriment of its users. Furthermore, the ways that these digital systems and algorithms intentionally (and unintentionally) enforce standards of control, patriarchy, white supremacy, and cis-hetero normativity mean that marginalized individuals are faced with a choice: become classified within a system that is inherently not built for them, or break away and define themselves outside of this preexisting mold.
